Employment and Unemployment
Online interactive course

ABOUT THIS COURSE
What is this course about?
Just five years after the 2008 economic crisis onset, the global job market is still disastrous. According to studies, 80 million new jobs would be needed by 2014 just to even out pre-crisis employment numbers. In our Employment and Unemployment course, you will learn how these extraordinarily optimistic assumptions are nothing but numbers put out by governments mainly due to the hope that half of these jobs will be created soon. The many advanced industrial countries, which include Europe and the U.S., show that there are over 13 million less jobs right now than there were four years ago. The employment in these areas is not going to recover until 2016 or later. Although youth unemployment is 20% above normal numbers, the long-term unemployment numbers have climbed to record-breaking heights.
